Chris Zulanas and David Gordon obtained summary judgment on behalf of a large metal fabrication company located in Alabama. The plaintiff was severely injured when two overhead cranes collided and caused a load of fabricated steel to shift. Plaintiff filed suit in state court claiming the fabrication company willfully failed to maintain safety devices that resulted in his injuries and significant medical expenses. Chris and David presented evidence to establish the cranes were properly maintained, that safety devices were fully functional, and the Plaintiff’s accident was due to operator error. There was no appeal following the dismissal of the claims against their client.
